| The school is located on a rolling, wooded ten-acre tract, approximately 2 miles south of I-435 on State Line in south Kansas City. A fenced play area with physical fitness apparatus adjoins the school, with nature trails, playing fields, several garden plots and ever growing wildlife. Academy Montesori Internationale of Kansas City is essentially an explorer's paradise, providing the child with a prepared environment with fascinating paths for discovery. The most remarkable keys in the environment are the learning materials. In our school you will find materials for practical life exercises by means of which the child will not only practice and learn to control his larger and finer muscles, but also make him aware of planning and organization in space and time. Through sensorial materials the child will discover basic rules, ways of ordering that is considered to be prerequisite before the child can use the advanced apparatus for reading, writing, arithmetic, science and social studies. Experience has shown that Montessori students are well-coordinated physically and are extremely self-confident. They develop rapidly in art and music techniques, showing usual imagination and creativity.
